In 2004 European Commission initiated the GreenBuilding Programme. This programme aims at improving the energy efficiency and expanding the integration of renewable energies in non-residential buildings in Europe on a voluntary basis.

The programme addresses owners of non-residential buildings to realise cost-effective measures which enhance the energy efficiency of their buildings in one or more technical disciplines. Every company or organisation that improves the efficiency and iintorduces RES in its building stock can be rewarded with the GreenBuilding Partner Status. Provided that the minimum requirement of a reduction of the primary energy demand by at least 25 percent is fulfilled for:
- new buildings: compared to the legal regulations in force
- refurbishment: compared to the demand before and after the optimization.

Programme's Partners will receive public recognition for their efforts, through the promotion campaign, aimed at rising public awareness of energy issues.

Baltic Energy Conservation Agency has successfully assisted Det Norske Veritas Poland Real Estate Sp. zoo in its efforts to become GB Partner.

Activity of Pomeranian Project Service Facility has been appreciated and BAPE received Sustainable Energy Europe partner status.
